Mounting Your Own Car Tires

In this day and age, there are many great deals to be found through shopping online. A good friend of mine buys all of her brand named jeans online, she gets a great deal. Yes she pays for the shipping, and has to wait for her jeans to come in the mail, but it is the perfect trade off as it is so much less expensive. This is how it is with shopping for tires online. You can find package deals and discounts that you can not find at a retail store.

Great deals on brand names such as bf goodrich tires and kumho tires , that you may not find at the local tire shop. The catch is, you will need to figure out a way to mount those tires onto your vehicle. You can have it professionally done, and spend a little bit of cash. Or you can learn how to do it yourself. You will need to deflate the tire in order to get it off of the rim.

A tire machine is necessary to do this, so take that into consideration when deciding whether or not you want to do it on your own. Once the tire is on the machine it will rotate and push the tire off of the rim. You can use a tire iron to completely remove the old tire, and you will be ready to mount the new one. Once the rim is locked down on the machine, you will again use the tire iron to circumvent the wheel, forcing the tire onto that rim. Once the tire is secured, you can inflate it and you will be ready to go. This may seem like a bit of work, but in the end it can save you quite a bit of money. The deal online and the do it yourself nature of it all will make a difference not only in the money that you have spent, but you my learn a thing or two about your vehicle along the way.
