Miami has some great areas to shop while visiting the city. For the avid shopper, this is a must do while staying in the city. Take a break from the wind blown beaches and spend some time browsing the shops in areas like Lincoln Road South Beach . If you are staying in the south beach area of Miami you will have a straight shot walk to the Rodeo Drive of Florida.
South Beach’s Lincoln Road has become the very vision of what the original developer, Carl Fisher, had in mind. He wanted a shopping area that was filled with luxurious stores and galleries. It has always been a top shopping are for the city since the 1930′s. Each generation makes the street front more luxurious than the last.
It is a street that is closed to driving traffic allowing people to walk freely without the worry or the noise of car traffic. There are many wonderful shops as well as restaurants, cafes and clubs. This is a great spot to find a nice out door cafe for lunch or a romantic dinner. If you decide to make a whole day of it there are some spa salons, movie theatre and free WiFi if you need it.
