Singapore offers an exciting blend of east and west! For westerners it is an easy way to get introduced to life in Asia. Modern Singapore covers an area of approximately 700 square kilometers. The city has a vista of modern skyscrapers, Hindu temples, Chinese stores, Malay mosques, and ean abundance of cool and modern shopping malls.
For a visitor Singapore is clean, safe, with lots of green parks. It can be an expensive place to live and is ranked as the 14th most expensive city in the world.
Singapore has a first rate public transport system and so you don’t really need a car to travel around. There are many five star hotels in Singapore and so accommodations are easy to find.
Most people in Singapore speak English although there are three other official languages – Malay, Chinese and Tamil. You will be able to find food all over the city ranging from fine restaurants to street side food stalls. You will not be disappointed in life in Singapore.
