July 27th, 2009 Launching a website
The economy has forced a lot of people to think about where they are going with their lives. The only good thing that comes out of a bad economy is that people get a chance to figure out what they really wanted to do with their lives. Finding passion in your work is one of the most rewarding things a person can find. If you want to get up and go to work everyday you are more likely to want to do well in your job.
If you have gotten laid off from your previous job it is time to think about what you would make your career if you had to do it all over again. Figure out if you think you could go it out on your own and start your own business. The best way to go about starting your own business is to think about your strengths and weaknesses. Also, think about offering the public something that you think is missing in the market.
That is what Steve Barbarich did. He found a gap that he saw in the market and he did something about it. While he was shopping for a hot tub on the internet he found that he received little customer service after he had a problem with the one he purchased.
So, he decided to launch a website that sold hot tubs and offered customer service.
Take this story into consideration if you are thinking about launching your own website. Figure out where you have felt that service or a product could have been better and think about how you could do it better.
Launching a website is also no easy feat. You need to plan it out and make sure that you have a good business plan. All planning aside, however, launching a website is something you should think about as an option.
