Sears Holdings Corp. was slammed by bad news, posting a 99% drop in fiscal third-quarter earnings, the Chicago Tribune said today. The loss at the Hoffman Estates, Ill.-based retailer was attributed in part to big discounts Sears had put in place to move product.
