Event Concert Tickets and Dylan

We were part of a huge crowd of concert goers which started to flow out from the Coca-Cola Park’s gate patio. You had to have Concert Tickets to be there in the first place, because the event will only get bigger for the Bob Dylan later tonight.

Security was trying to keep up all in line, keep us orderly by separating the ticket-holders who bought tickets earlier at the registration from the regular admission ticket holders. Don’t know how they figured this would help cause there were about 5000 of us who registered early. Oh well, we thought, what did we care as long as we were in some line. It seemed to be going pretty smooth from our point of view, but we heard there were some getting caught up in the concert frenzy. Odd that, because it look to us that the median age for the concert was 55.

We thought we might not be able to stand in line in the heat of the sun, but we were lucky enough to be standing in a shaded part of the park and the people in front of us and behind us were quite amusing. The couple in front of us knows the concerts promoter and told us that he told them that tonight’s musicians are eager and ready to perform. He said that tonight is their fourth show in five days and the musicians are playing really good, starting to get into the groove of the music. We stood in line for four hours, but being with people who knew inside stories, like the couple in front of us, made the four hours go by much quicker than expected.

The couple behind us, well it was their first Dylan concert, and they’ve never seen Willie Nelson, nor John Mellencamp before and they were all excited that they actually will get to see those two play before Dylan comes on to play after them.  We were stunned to hear that someone has never seen Dylan, Nelson or Mellencamp in concert before, but at least their attending now.
