Young country western singer Chely Wright came out as gay this week, just in time to release her new CD, book and go on a few talk shows. Although she says that there has never been a country western singer who has never announced being a lesbian before, there have been a few. That being said, there is still a certain amount of magnitude in her choosing to come out, especially with the country western community traditionally being a conservative one.
