May 11th, 2010 Can Kagen Take the Seat?
Obama announced his nomination to fill the soon the be vacant Justice seat, and his nomination is Elena Kagen. The problem is that she is for the most part unknown as far as her policy goes, and it is questionable if she will be able to keep her religion to herself and out of the court. Of course with another Jew being nominated to the Supreme Court Evangelicals are upset, wanting to have been able to grab a seat in the courts and move law a little in favor of themselves. Obama was much more likely to go with one of several other Protestant liberals before thinking about an Evangelical.
