Best time to be in Dubai
We found Dubai to be perfect in January and February. The temperature is 25 by day and 15 by night. We had over hundred kilometers of beach and 100 percent of sun with no cloud in site. We managed to book a room at a 5 Star Hotel in Dubai for the whole two months. Our room faced the ocean and we were up high enough that we could see other hotels under construction. We could even see the land reclamations, the one that looks like a palm tree which is creating more beachfront property for thousands of villas. Apparently, the other reclamation land that we didn’t have a good view of is supposed to look like a map of the world. Both are supposed to go with the slogan ‘The Palm puts Dubai on the map; the World puts the map on Dubai.”
We visited the Palm Island because eventually the new coastline will provide an estuary eventually and once all the sediment settles and the oceans return to their pre-construction crystal clear state it will also be a sanctuary for more colorful tropical fish. The weather was so perfect, we then went to visit the many parks in and around Dubai. They were so pretty and the flowers were blooming and the aroma created a relaxed environment. We could tell the gardeners loved doing wonderful artistic floral arrangements. Each arrangement we would walk by was more original and more aromatic than the last.
Then we decided to go shopping. It was our lucky day, apparently, it was the biggest one day sale of the year. We found that even besides the sales, things were generally much cheaper anyways. So, we really got fantastic deals. We heard the reason for the items in general to be inexpensive is to attract the tourists. We that worked for us. We were loaded down with objects and clothes, so we hailed a taxi to take us back to our hotel room, but the taxi couldn’t fit all the our stuff combined, so we ended up having to take two taxi’s back. Excellent.
